its all very very overwhelming, but as first time parents you will want to buy everything you think you will need, but if you are going to have a baby shower, you will get almost everythihng you need. For our baby shower we had a big family BBQ. We had tons of people there. We had a poker tounrament and a pool tournament and the winners won 50% of the pot and the rest went to start the babies college fund. We raised over $400 for her. And because it was co-ed we had a raffle for different prizes. A pack of diapers bought you 3 tickets and a pack of wipies bought you 1 tucket. We did not have to buy diapers for over 6 months! Also you should think about making your own baby food. It is not has hard as it sounds and you can make sure that everything is fresh and even organic if you want.

Thank you Punk Rock Mom, it was a bit overwhelming at the beginning, but we’ve been able to adjust. Plus, as far as clothes go, there are tons more stuff for little grils than there are for boys. That has helped along with the fact that we know the first few months he is going to outgrow stuff really quick. Since we live far away from both families, we are planning to have the Baby Shower in a restaurant. Should be fun. I am looking foward to celebrating the coming birth of our familia with the whole familia. Thanks for the ideas.
